I′ll spend my Christmas by the red cliffs of Sidmouth
Thinking of how life used to be
I wonder where you are now
I'm sitting in my car how I miss my second family
Santa′s got his claws in every pocket
The shops are keen to stock what we don't need
And this old Jurassic coastline is chaotic
Giving up its shoreline to the sea
So I'll spend my Christmas by the red cliffs of Sidmouth
Trying to enjoy the holiday
I′ll be running down the seafront, dressed for the season
In the reindeer jumper that you made
Santa′s got his claws in every pocket
The shops are keen to stock what we don't need
And this old Jurassic coastline is Quixotic
Giving up its secrets to the sea
So I′ll spend my Christmas by the red cliffs of Sidmouth
And wonder what another year will bring
They say time is a healer so I'll be digging deeper
And I hope that I′ll feel better by the spring
Santa's got his claws in every pocket
The shops are keen to stock what we don′t need
And this old Jurassic coastline is chaotic
Sandstone cliffs are crumbling to the sea
Like me
So I'll spend my Christmas by the red cliffs of Sidmouth
Thinking of how life used to be
How life used to be
