On a tall horse rides the 25th
With prideful stride he showers gifts
On those that house a hunger deep
He′s laughing as us lowly feed
And he gladly sits upon his throne
And holds in place the sealing stone
That hides away the somber swells
That ring from vacant churches' bells
Though I′d never sing
I still hear them ring
Peace on Earth, good will to men
Someday love will reign again
And though a darkened day has come
The bells still ring for everyone
As absent as the promised snow
Is the so-called greatest story told
And a name we tried to bury cold
Of a Man no tomb could ever hold
But it's easy to see past his gift
Reduced to household ornaments
Surely there is more to tell
In the distant songs of the church's bells
Though I′d never sing
I still hear them ring
Peace on Earth, good will to men
Someday love will reign again
And though a darkened day has come
The bells still ring for everyone
And when the season′s come and gone
With bellies full we carry on
Through days not merry nor so bright
While weaving wreathes of restless nights
For an aching question will remain
Where is good in boundless pain
Perhaps the answer can't be spelled
But chimed through song of church′s bells
Though I'd never sing
(Though I′d never sing)
I still hear them ring
(I still hear them ring)
Peace on Earth, good will to men
Someday love will reign again
And though a darkened day has come
The bells still ring for everyone
(I still hear them ring)
The bells still ring for everyone
(I still hear them ring)
The bells still ring for everyone
